Sh. Marjani Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences presents  the scientific journal  “Crimean Historical Review”.

The journal deals with the scientific research works in the field of   history of the peninsula from the ancient times to the present, the  historical-cultural heritage of the Crimean Tatars and other peoples of the Crimea.

The journal was founded on April 18, 2014, by the decision of  Scientific Council of  Marjani Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.

The main goal of the journal is to combine the efforts of  international and domestic science in solving  current research problems in the field of   archeology, source study, history and culture of the Crimea.

   The Journal consists  of  the following sections:

– History and modernity

– Literature and language

– Heritage

– Culture

– New issues: recensions, references

– Chronicles

Publication frequency: 2 times a year

The journal publishes previously unpublished and original articles by Russian and foreign authors in Russian and  English. Articles of theoretical and scientific-research  are welcome for the publication.  Russian- language articles should be submitted with English annotations.

Core policy of the journal “Crimean Historical Review” implies the principle of openness of the journal to authors and readers.

Open Access Statement: “Crimean Historical Review” is an open access journal, which means that all its content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, distribute, copy, print, search, or link to the full texts of the papers, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of the open access. All the materials of the journal are available under Creative Commons “Attribution” 4.0 license (CC BY 4.0).

Open access to journal’s archives is provided on its web site  https://crimeanreview.ru  as well as on the platform of scientific electronic library  www.elibrary.ru,  CyberLeninka.

The journal publishes original, previously unpublished materials in Russian, Crimean Tatar, Tatar, Turkish (with an abstract in English) and English.

The articles are accepted free of charge.
