Abstract. The article is a review of the Muslim metric books of Bakhchisarai from the State Archives of the Republic of Crimea, which until today have not been subjected to detailed study. Based on textual analysis, some aspects of the daily life of the townspeople of Bakhchisarai in the 19th and early 20th centuries were revealed to a certain extent. The identified data, first of all, makes it possible to find out the number of marriages, birth rates, causes of divorce, death, per year, in a certain quarter (makhalla). According to the materials reviewed in the book, it becomes clear in which city cemeteries the residents of certain neighborhoods were buried. Among other things Crimean Tatar female and male names, which nowadays rather seldom used, are recorded in metric books. Also, information is given in which quarter the child was born, and what craft his father does. In total, the Metric Books of the Bakhchisarai district of the Maalish Aga quarters (mahalla) for 1833–1835; the Khan-Jami Sherif quarter for 1878; the Osman-Aga quarter for 1833; the Syrly-Cheshme quarter for 1834–1835, and the Molla Mustafa quarter for 1848 were reviewed and analyzed.
